Vatican City

Najviše me dojmila dvorana s kartama, Rafaelova soba i naravno Sikstinska kapela.

Ending my Rome post with the trip to Vatican City we left for the last day. As you know, the Vatican City is the smallest state in the world, bordered by the walls and the headquarters of the Catholic Church and its chief Pope. We had this luck so we saw Pope the very first day in Rome.

We bought tickets for the Vatican Museum earlier online, along with audio guide - what I recommend. That was a clever move because we skip all rows and were immediately inside. Everything goes very fast. The museum is huge, we walked for hours! As soon as we entered, I was amazed with all the ceiling details in the halls. I was most impressed by the map room, Rafael's room and of course the Sikstine Chapel.

In the museum you have a restaurant and a cafe - where I drank the best coffee, and one of the cheapest in the whole Rome, you would not believe it. Finally, we visited St. Peter's Square on which is the same named Basilica. The line for Basilica was quite big but it was worth the wait. It is the largest church in the world, and you can only imagine its size when you see its luxurious interior.
